Recent highlights

We have been thrilled to attend several festivals and events across the UK which we know many individuals and churches from London travel to, some of which include Big Church Festival, New Wine and Greenbelt. This has been a fantastic opportunity to begin conversations with those enquiring about fostering, adoption and supported lodging, as well as reconnecting with those who are already journeying with us.

We are continuing to share our Who Cares campaign across churches and church networks throughout London and we’re seeing a really positive response to the question, through the voice of the child, “Who cares?” You can find more about our campaign here: https://homeforgood.org.uk/who-cares

We’re also excited about the merger with Safe Families as this will increase our London team and enable us to have a wider and deeper reach into local communities. Local partnerships

PACT (Parents And Children Together)

We continue to work closely together with PACT to inspire individuals and churches to respond to the need of adoption and we’d love to share this inspiring story:

“Thank you so much for your prayers. Our panel went well yesterday and they unanimously recommended us to adopt! We are thrilled! We now need to wait two weeks for the agency decision maker to sign it off but we are very excited to start family finding. Please can you pass on our gratitude to all at Home for Good who helped run the Foundations course that we attended, and those who have been praying for us. We are very grateful to all of them and to you for supporting us in this way! We feel the course really helped us prepare well and that all the training and work we've done with our agency since then has built on those foundations. We also appreciate that you recommended PACT - they have been wonderful to work with and we're very glad we chose to apply with them. We will keep you posted on how our journey continues! Blessings”

Barnet

We have recently begun working with the Barnet locality authority to increase the number of individuals and households responding to the needs of children in care in their area. We’re excited to explore the opportunities in the North of London as we connect with church leaders and scope local events to attend in the coming months.

Capstone

We're continuing to focus activity on the South of London particularly in Croydon, Merton and Sutton where we’re beginning to share resources with Safe Families team who have a strong presence in the area.

We’re currently recruiting for a London Engagement Coordinator. Please pray for the transition of this role as we recruit for the position
Pray for families during the summer break who may be providing extra support and care, as well as the transitions back to school in September
Pray for individuals and households who attend local festivals and events to carry Home for Good’s message back to their communities and churches
