Stronger Together: Safe Families and Home for Good Merge to Expand Our Impact and Reach

Safe Families & Home for Good - Safer Together

Back in May we announced our upcoming merger with a bold vision to see children and families thrive.

We’re excited to announce that the merger is now official and today marks the beginning of a new chapter for Safe Families and Home for Good, as we officially merge to form one impactful charity.

We want to take a moment to celebrate the start of this new season; one in which we outwork the vision of supporting families facing isolation and overwhelm and finding safe, stable and nurturing homes for every child who needs one.

Through the Church, Safe Families has bought belonging around isolated families, providing them with community and support. At the same time, Home for Good has worked with the church to find nurturing homes for children who cannot stay with their birth families. Together, we believe that by merging, we will see more churches equipped, more volunteers empowered and trained, more local authorities served, more families supported, less children entering care and for those that do, well-matched homes found.

We are building a bigger table and as Co-CEO Kat Osborn explains: “God is inviting us into something bigger, widening the lens through which we have seen things so far. A sense that He is opening a door to us to serve more children and families so that more have a stable place to call home, an environment that feels safe, and people around them who they can trust and who will offer care and support.”

To hear more about our shared vision and plans for the future, join the online Vision Night on September 30th at 8pm.

You’ll hear from Co-CEO’s Kat and Tarn about the work of Safe Families and Home for Good and about our exciting joint vision, we’ll be joined by some very special guests, including those who have benefitted from the support of Safe Families and Home for Good. You’ll also get to hear about the ways you can continue to play your part as we seek to serve church, children, and families with greater impact than we could do individually.

Tarn Bright, Co-CEO says: “The way Home for Good will be felt and experienced continues for the thousands we journey with, just as it will be with Safe Families - but this opportunity allows us the privilege to serve Church, children and families with greater impact than we can do individually as organisations.”

Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of something bigger. Join us online on September 30th at 8pm to learn more about our vision and how you can contribute to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable families.
