Pathway to fostering

As Christian families explore fostering, we want to journey with them and ensure that they are valued and respected, and that their faith motivation is understood. We know that we don’t need to become a fostering agency to do this, because there are already great local authorities (LAs) and not-for-profit independent fostering agencies (IFAs) keen to welcome prospective foster carers, who recognise the role of faith.

We partner with many of them for our Pathway to Fostering.

We deliver Faith Literacy Training to our partners and they are keen to receive adoption applications from people motivated by faith.

Our partners are not only faith-friendly, but they also have a passion for finding homes for the children who wait the longest for the right foster placement. This is the priority of our pathway to fostering, to find families who feel able to welcome:

  • sibling groups of three or more
  • children with complex, additional or health needs
  • children of black and minority ethnic heritage
  • older children and teenagers
