Home for Good is working with Western Bay Adoption Service, a local authority adoption service for Neath Port Talbot, Bridgend & Swansea dedicated to finding families based in Wales for children with a plan for adoption.

Western Bay Adoption Service (WBAS) are the local authority adoption service for Neath Port Talbot, Bridgend and Swansea. Formed as a regional collaborative in 2015 the service goes from strength to strength utilising the care, experience and dedication of its workforce in finding the best outcomes for children and families.

The average adopter approval time for the service is around 6 months and throughout the adoption process our empathetic team are on hand and with you each step of the way. Our team is diverse and so are our adopters – coming from all walks of life. One of our big focuses is the community and support we build around each family: whether that’s from buddying up with families who’ve been through the process and can offer a guiding hand, or attending talks and training events, we are here to aid you in your development – and to be available for support when it’s really needed.

Our post adoption support team is made up of therapists, adoption support social workers, support staff and a psychologist who are fully trauma trained and experts in the latest therapeutic tools and techniques to also help when bumps in the road arise.

Our biggest asset is our people and it’s why families come back to WBAS to adopt for a second (or third) time - to experience that level of care and support that we are whole-heartedly proud of!

Mae Home for Good yn gweithio gyda Gwasanaeth Mabwysiadu Bae'r Gorllewin, gwasanaeth mabwysiadu ar gyfer awdurdodau lleol Castell-nedd Port Talbot, Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr ac Abertawe, sy'n ymroddedig i ddod o hyd i deuluoedd wedi'u lleoli yng Nghymru ar gyfer plant sydd â chynllun mabwysiadu ar eu cyfer.

Gwasanaeth Mabwysiadu Bae'r Gorllewin (WBAS) yw'r gwasanaeth mabwysiadu awdurdod lleol ar gyfer Castell-nedd Port Talbot, Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr ac Abertawe. Mae’r gwasanaeth yn mynd o nerth i nerth ers ei ffurfio fel grŵp cydweithredol rhanbarthol yn 2015, ac yn gwneud hynny drwy ddefnyddio gofal, profiad ac ymroddiad ei weithlu i sicrhau’r canlyniadau gorau ar gyfer plant a theuluoedd.

Ar gyfartaledd mae’n cymryd oddeutu 6 mis i’r gwasanaeth gymeradwyo mabwysiadwyr, a thrwy gydol y broses fabwysiadu mae ein tîm empathig wrth law a gyda chi bob cam o'r ffordd. Mae ein tîm yn amrywiol, yn dod o bob cefndir, ac felly hefyd ein mabwysiadwyr. Un o’n prif bethau rydym yn canolbwyntio arno yw’r gymuned a’r gefnogaeth rydym yn ei hadeiladu o amgylch pob teulu: boed hynny drwy eich cyfeillio â theuluoedd sydd wedi bod drwy’r broses ac sy’n gallu cynnig help llaw, neu drefnu ichi fynychu sgyrsiau a digwyddiadau hyfforddi, rydym yma i gefnogi eich datblygiad, ac ar gael i estyn cymorth pan fydd ei wir angen.

Mae ein tîm cymorth ôl-fabwysiadu yn cynnwys therapyddion, gweithwyr cymdeithasol cymorth mabwysiadu, seicolegydd a staff cymorth sydd wedi'u hyfforddi'n llawn mewn trawma, ynghyd ag arbenigwyr yn yr arferion a thechnegau therapiwtig diweddaraf i helpu pan fydd problemau'n codi.

Ein pobl yw ein hased mwyaf, a dyna pam mae teuluoedd yn dod yn ôl at WBAS i fabwysiadu am yr eildro (neu’r trydydd) tro – er mwyn profi’r lefel honno o ofal a chymorth yr ydym yn falch iawn ohoni!
