As a local authority foster carer in Wales, you will be joining Foster Wales, our national network of local authority fostering services, working together to build better futures for local children. All 22 Welsh Local Authorities have signed up to the National Commitment, an agreed package of training, support and rewards for all our foster carers to enjoy.

Alongside the National Commitment, each local authority has an increased support package that meets their local need. As a Foster Wales Neath Port Talbot carer you will have access to our dedicated in-house therapeutic team. This includes a clinical psychologist, therapists and a group of outreach workers who specialize in providing the support you need on your fostering journey.

Our support package also includes access to regular support groups with other foster carers and social workers alongside an out of hours support line, to ensure you feel completely supported by us in any tricky moments. We are fortunate to also have a Foster Carer Association, run by our amazing carers, who arrange catch ups, exciting family events and trips designed for you all to create lasting memories.

Yn ogystal, mae ein pecyn cymorth yn cynnwys y cyfle i fynychu sesiynau grwpiau cymorth yn rheolaidd gyda gofalwyr maeth eraill a gweithwyr cymdeithasol ynghyd â llinell gymorth y tu allan i oriau, er mwyn sicrhau'ch bod yn teimlo'ch bod yn cael ein cefnogaeth lwyr ar unrhyw adegau anodd. Rydym yn ffodus hefyd o gael Cymdeithas Gofalwyr Maeth, sy’n cael ei rhedeg gan ein gofalwyr anhygoel. Mae’n trefnu sesiynau sgwrsio, digwyddiadau cyffrous i deuluoedd a theithiau lle caiff pawb ohonoch greu atgofion oes.

Ar ben hynny, rydym yn awyddus i sicrhau'ch bod yn teimlo'ch bod yn cael eich cydnabod a'ch gwerthfawrogi'n briodol fel un o ofalwyr Maethu Cymru Castell-nedd Port Talbot.
